How to Install CricFy TV on Amazon FireStick

Amazon FireStick is one of the best ways to stream sports on a television. Because CricFy TV is built for Android, it runs natively on Fire OS (which is based on Android). This step-by-step guide explains how to install CricFy TV on any Amazon Fire TV Stick, Fire TV Cube, or smart TV running Fire OS in 2026.

Prerequisites for FireStick Installation

  • An active Amazon FireStick connected to your TV and Wi-Fi network.
  • The FireStick remote control.
  • Approximately 50 MB of free storage space on your FireStick.

Step 1: Enable Developer Options on FireStick

Because CricFy TV is a third-party app not listed on the Amazon Appstore, you must authorize your device to install apps from “Unknown Sources”:

  1. Navigate to the FireStick home screen and select Settings (the gear icon on the far right).
  2. Scroll down and tap My Fire TV.
  3. Tap About.
  4. Scroll to your device name (e.g., Fire TV Stick 4K) and click it 7 times rapidly. You will see a popup saying “No need, you are already a developer” or “You are now a developer.”
  5. Go back one screen to My Fire TV. You will now see a new menu option called Developer Options. Tap it.
  6. Tap Install unknown apps (or Apps from Unknown Sources).

Note: If you have the newer Fire OS interface, you will configure this permission on a per-app basis once the Downloader app is installed.

Step 2: Install the “Downloader” Utility

FireStick does not allow direct browser downloads for APK files. You need a free helper app to retrieve the file:

  1. Go back to the FireStick home screen and select the Find (search) button.
  2. Type Downloader in the search bar.
  3. Select the orange Downloader icon from the search results.
  4. Tap Get or Download to install it.
  5. Once installed, open Downloader and grant it permission to access your device storage.

Step 3: Download and Install CricFy TV APK

  1. Launch the Downloader app.
  2. Tap the URL input bar on the Home tab.
  3. Enter the direct download address or visit our CricFy TV Download page to obtain the official Telegram link.
  4. Downloader will connect to the server and begin downloading the CricFy TV APK (~17 MB).
  5. Once the download completes, a prompt will automatically ask if you want to install the application. Tap Install.
  6. Once installed, do NOT tap Open. Tap Done instead. This will return you to Downloader, where you can tap Delete to remove the installation APK file, freeing up valuable space on your FireStick.

Step 4: Access and Navigate CricFy TV

Sideloaded apps do not always appear on the main home screen grid. To find CricFy TV:

  1. Press and hold the Home button on your FireStick remote for 3 seconds.
  2. Select Apps.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the list to locate CricFy TV.
  4. Press the Options button (three horizontal lines) on your remote and select Move to Front to pin it to your home screen.

The CricFy TV interface is optimized for remote D-pad navigation. You can scroll through match categories and select links using your remote.

Troubleshooting FireStick Errors

  • “App not installed” error: This occurs if you have an older version of the app installed. Go to Settings › Applications › Manage Installed Applications › CricFy TV › Uninstall, then try the installation again.
  • Buffering during live games: FireStick Wi-Fi antennas can experience interference if placed behind a thick TV. Try using an HDMI extender to move the stick away from the TV, or switch stream links (Server 2 or 3) inside the app. For additional tips, check our 10 troubleshooting fixes.

Safety and VPN Recommendation

We strongly recommend using a reputable VPN (like ProtonVPN or ExpressVPN) on your FireStick. A VPN encrypts your traffic and prevents ISP throttling, which is common during high-viewership events like the FIFA World Cup 2026. For more safety details, read our Safety Disclaimer.
